This week, the Carrboro Town Council granted Habitat for Humanity of Orange County $100,000 from its Affordable Housing Special Revenue Fund in support of the construction of four new units (two duplexes) on Cobb Street in the Northside neighborhood. These homes will be energy-efficient and affordable to households earning between 30-80% of the area median income. The two ground-floor units will be built ADA-compliant for seniors or persons with disabilities.
On Nov. 2, Habitat for Humanity will begin accepting applications for homeownership. If you are interested in homeownership, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 919-932-7077. Applications close Nov. 20, 2020.
