Ralph Earle teaches poetry at Central Carolina Community College and does computer services consulting work. His collection, The Way the Rain Works, won the 2015 Sable Books Chapbook Award. His poems have appeared in The Sun, Sufi Journal, One, Carolina Quarterly, Tar River Poetry, storySouth, and elsewhere. He has a doctorate in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where either he or his two sons have been enrolled for 19 years of the past 40 years.
