COVID-19 vaccinations are now available to all people ages 6 months and older. Please be aware that the Chapel Hill vaccine clinic is currently booked until the end of October. The Hillsborough vaccine clinic is a walk-in clinic and has spots available! It is open Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located at 1020 US Hwy 70, Hillsborough (across from the DMV).
- To find additional locations to receive a vaccine or for vaccination questions, visit the NCDHHS website at MySpot.nc.gov or call 888-675-4567 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday-Friday or 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Spanish and other languages are available.
- Looking for the new bivalent booster? Both the Chapel Hill and Hillsborough vaccine clinics have both Moderna and Pfizer bivalent boosters. Chapel Hill is by appointment only and Hillsborough can take walk-ins. Make an appointment by calling (919) 913-8088 or by visiting https://takemyshot.nc.gov

Anyone can receive a test regardless of whether they are showing symptoms or are a close contact of someone positive for the virus.
- The Orange County Health Department hosts COVID-19 testing at two different locations for free, convenient PCR tests (insurance will be billed). For those without insurance the tests are also available and are free.

- Orange County is currently at a low level of community spread for COVID-19, according to the CDC. To reduce the spread in our community it is helpful to mask indoors, wash your hands often, give each other a little space and, most importantly, be sure you are up to date on your COVID-19 vaccination. If you do think you have been exposed, or are feeling ill, please get a COVID-19 test.

- Inter-Faith Council (IFC) serves dinner for pickup, Monday to Friday, 6:15 to 7pm at 100 W. Rosemary Street. Lunch is offered daily at 100 W. Rosemary Street. Monday to Saturday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Sunday 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. Any household may receive a week’s worth of groceries once per month. - Carrboro Farmer’s Market is offering $10 vouchers to people experiencing unemployment. One voucher per visit (must show proof of unemployment). Also offering "triple bucks" for customers who use EBT, WIC FMNP or Seniors FMNP (ex: $20 in EBT is $60 at the market). If you’re out of benefits on your card, they will also match cash.
- TABLE is delivering bags of food to families with children in the Chapel Hill Carrboro City School system. PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro has a food program for families with children in the Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools. If you have children who attend school in Chapel Hill or Carrboro, contact chc@porchcommunities.org to ask about enrollment options.

The Orange County Long-Term Recovery Group is creating a plan for recovery from COVID-19 to help strengthen the community for all people. A survey was conducted to identify community values that will help shape the county’s path forward.
